How Much Does SEO Cost in Cyprus?

Published prices are scattered and promotional. This page puts the Cypriot and Greek figures side by side, then shows how to test whether a quote can pay back.

Short answer

Only sellers publish Cypriot SEO prices. One Limassol agency lists a one-off project from EUR 750 and quotes ongoing work on request, and one July 2025 vendor guide puts small and local business retainers at roughly EUR 300 to 1,500 a month. Compare written scopes before prices, and work out how many new customers a retainer must win to pay back.

What do sellers publish?

We found three useful sources and checked them in November 2026. All are sellers or promotional guides, and none is an independent survey.

Type of SEO work Published price Source and caution
One-off SEO on an existing site From EUR 750 A Limassol agency's service page. Covers a technical audit, on-page work on key pages and Google Business Profile work
Local SEO retainer EUR 500 to 1,500 a month A July 2025 Cyprus guide by an SEO vendor
Small-business retainer EUR 400 to 1,200 a month Same guide, summary. Its own table gives EUR 300 to 800 for basic work
Mid-size retainer EUR 1,500 to 3,500 a month Same guide, summary. Its table gives EUR 1,000 to 5,000
Enterprise retainer EUR 2,000 to 10,000 or more a month Same guide, table. Its summary puts full-scale agency contracts at EUR 4,000 or more
Greece, small business EUR 400 to 1,200 a month A July 2025 Greek guide, promotional, not Cyprus
Greece, medium business EUR 800 to 2,500 a month Same Greek guide

The vendor guide contradicts itself between its summary and its table, which is a reason to treat these as a rough spread and not a price list. A fair reading for a small Cypriot business is EUR 300 to 1,500 a month, depending on whether the work is basic on-page SEO or a full local and content programme.

The same Limassol agency says it quotes ongoing SEO after a call and does not publish a retainer figure. We do the same: Sempor Labs quotes in writing, and we do not publish prices.

What the price should buy

Do not compare retainers by the monthly figure. Ask each supplier to fill in the same table:

Item Ask A good answer
Audit Is there a first-month technical and content audit? A written list of fixes in priority order
Technical fixes Who makes them and how fast? Named person, with access to the site
Content How many pages a month, written by whom, edited by whom? Numbers and a sample outline
Local work Google profile, listings, reviews A clear list of tasks
Links and mentions How are they earned? Real publications and partners, not packages
Reporting Which numbers, how often? Enquiries and rankings by page, not a PDF of impressions

Comparing two quotes, worked through

Suppose two Limassol suppliers quote on the same site. The numbers are invented for illustration.

Quote A Quote B
Monthly fee EUR 450 EUR 900
First-month audit No Yes, written
New or improved pages a month 2 4
Google profile and review work No Yes
Monthly report Rankings PDF Enquiries and calls by page
Six-month cost EUR 2,700 EUR 5,400
Cost per page produced EUR 225 EUR 225

On cost per page the two are identical, so the extra EUR 450 a month in Quote B buys the audit, the local work and the reporting. Whether that is worth it depends on whether you need those items. The cheaper quote is not a bargain if you must buy the missing pieces elsewhere, and the dearer quote is not better if you will not use them.

When does a retainer pay back? An illustration

Say a firm pays EUR 800 a month for six months: EUR 4,800. If a new customer is worth EUR 600 in first-year profit, the retainer needs 8 new customers to break even over those six months, or about one and a third a month. Compare that to your current enquiry rate before you sign.

SEO also takes time. Our guide on how long SEO takes explains why the first months are often spent on fixes, and a six-month term may not show the full return. If a supplier promises results in 30 days or a top spot, walk away.

Why Cyprus numbers look small

Cyprus search volume is tiny by international standards. In our October 2026 data, "seo in cyprus" drew about 210 Google searches a month, "seo services cyprus" and "seo agency cyprus" about 50 each, and "local seo cyprus" about 40. A supplier selling you keyword volume in Cyprus has small numbers to point to.

Two more things matter for the budget. Google AI Overviews appeared on all 33 results pages we sampled in October 2026, including "seo limassol", and a re-test of 10 showed a real AI answer first each time. The sample was small and chosen around our topics, so it shows direction, not a market rate. It means that part of the work is being named in AI answers as well as ranking. Our AI search optimization page covers that. And Greek-language searches are a separate job: ask whether the quote covers Greek pages or English only.

Warning signs in cheap packages

A Greek guide warns that services under EUR 300 a month often rely on automated content with little human oversight, outdated techniques and generic strategies that ignore the local market. It also flags first-place promises, "1,000 links for EUR 100" offers, results in 30 days and secret techniques. The guide is promotional, but these warnings match what any honest supplier will tell you.

Choose by situation

  • Choose a one-off project if your site has clear technical problems or you want a plan you can carry out yourself.
  • Choose a retainer if you have a steady stream of content to make, competitors that rank, and the margin to wait for results.
  • Skip SEO for now if your site is broken, if you have no capacity to handle more enquiries, or if a single customer is worth too little to repay the monthly fee.

Frequently asked questions

How much does SEO cost?

In Cyprus, one Limassol agency publishes a one-off SEO price from about EUR 750, and one July 2025 vendor guide puts retainers for small and local businesses at roughly EUR 300 to 1,500 a month. Larger retainers run higher. The figures overlap, so compare what each includes.

How much does local SEO cost?

One 2025 Cyprus guide gives EUR 500 to 1,500 a month for local SEO covering Google Business Profile work, local listings and map-pack optimization. It is a vendor's estimate, so ask suppliers for itemized scopes.

How much does an SEO consultant cost?

We found no Cypriot hourly benchmark. A 2025 guide quotes global hourly ranges of USD 80 to 150 for small-business work, and Cypriot one-off project pages start around EUR 750. Ask for a fixed scope instead of open hours.

Does SEO cost money beyond the agency fee?

Usually yes. You may pay for content, photography, tools, a developer for technical fixes and translations. Ask which of these are included in the retainer and which are billed separately.

How much should SEO cost a month for a small business?

One Cyprus vendor guide puts small-business retainers at roughly EUR 400 to 1,200 in its summary and EUR 300 to 800 in its table, and a Greek guide gives a similar band. Below about EUR 300 a month, one Greek guide warns of automated content and thin work.
